• Moved to Puerto Rico after college to document island culture, where taking photographs became more personal
(a little too much so during the voodoo ritual in Haiti!)
  • After studying with Robert Heinecken at UCLA, earned an MFA degree in photography from Indiana University
(which is why I live in L.A.!)
  • Has worked as a full-time stock photographer since 1992, shooting everything from particle accelerator reactors to elegant Japanese tea ceremonies (but I still prefer a good cup of coffee!)
  • Loves to travel and has photographed on every continent except Australia and Antarctica (please, no emails from
    Aussies or penguins!)
  • Exhibition record for his fine-art images, collects contemporary photography, won Los Angeles Art Director's award
    (for photography, of course!)
  • Photos have appeared in ads, books, and publications around the world (hopefully I’ve been paid for all of them!)
